Crypto have already become one of the most popular investment classes now. No matter if you like it or not, they’re too big to be ignored.
I have also invested in few cryptos for an experience. My risk appetite for their higher volatilities is low. So, I didn’t invest much.
Which means even if the crypto market crashes totally, it won’t shake my overall investment much.
Currently I have following cryptocurrencies in my investment portfolio as an experiment:
Crypto.com Coin (CRO)
I hold 1,000 CROs. I purchased it at $0.59. Its price is down to $0.40 due to Federal Reserve’s interest rate increase and QE policies.
This means I am at 32% unrealized loss. Just like any other investments classes, impact of Fed policies was huge on CRO.
Ripple Net’s Coin (XRP)
I hold 151 XRP purchased at $0.99. Initially, I purchased 200 of them, but later I exchanged with Doge coins.
The price of XRP, at the time of writing this post, is $0.594. I am at about 40% loss in XRP as well.
Ethereum Coin (ETH)
I purchased a fraction of Ethereum. I hold 0.03 and its price was $ 3,350 when I purchased.
Its current price is $2,600. So, it’s down by 22% from my purchase price- my unrealized loss.
Binance Coin (BNB)
I purchased 0.14 Binance coins when its price was US$ 715. Its price is down to $ 366.
It’s down by about 48% from my purchase price. It dropped when many countries banned Binance.
Chainlink Coin (LINK)
When I purchased 2 chainlink coins, its price was $25. But it’s at $15.50 at the time of writing this post.
This means I am down by 38%. I didn’t intend to invest in it. I wanted to use wallet balances.
What am I gonna Do?
If you look at the table below, I’m down by $339 – an unrealized loss of 34%. It’s about Nu.25,000.
They are not actual loss as I haven’t sold them. I am not sure if they will bounce back given this unpredictable market situation.
I traded Dogecoin when Elon Musk made jokes of it. I made about $500 in all trades.
Therefore, I don’t plan to sell. I want to retain for an experiment. Even if they go zero, I am fine as well.
