Bhutan Stock Market Report [Sep ’24]
I have written a post that I won’t subscribe to the right shares of PCAL as shares tend to trade lower than discovered prices, later.
PCAL share has already lost a lot of margins after the auction. Its current price is at 50.94. It probably will lose more!
DGPC has announced its intention of issuing the renewable energy bond. But, that isn’t official yet without its prospectus.
Since I purchased a second-hand car, I am learning to drive. I can drive in places outside of Thimphu town. No Norzin Lam!
I also did few job interviews. It is hard to believe that so many Bhutanese left Australia or other countries.
None of the position I applied are even in senior or managerial levels but just entry or middle level positions.
Let me keep this much for a generic introduction and go through Bhutan Stock Market updates of September.
How Was the Stock Market of Bhutan?
Market Situations
The total market trades increased by Nu. 5.4M compared to last month. Total trade was Nu.93M – 58% OTC and 42% mCaMs trades.
Benchmark Index
Our stock index BSI started the month higher at 1509.76 points and then ended lower at 1506.37 points.
BSI lost a 3.39 points this September indicating a bearish sentiment in an overall market.
Individual Stocks
If we look at individual counter, not significant change. 10 tickers closed in red, 7 in green and 1 remained unchanged.
When it comes to significant gainers or losers, BFAL gained the most and PCAL lost the most.
Did I Make Changes in Total Holdings?
Tickers BUY
No Buy.
Tickers SALE
No Sale.
How CD’s Stock Portfolio Performed?
5 counters in my portfolio are below their purchase prices. But 3 of them are still positive. The biggest gainer is RICB.
This month, unrealized profit has increased by less than 1%. However, the loss is the record highest this year!
The Month’s Lessons & Future Plans?
I told last month that it wouldn’t be a good time to load PCAL stock. I still stand with that reasoning.
It is yet to touch the bottom, and I feel it will continue going down further at least for a month.
Since most counters are down from their ATHs even without a corporate action, it could be a time to load them.
