It’s getting warm in Thimphu especially during day. I am also comfortable with no heater in office now unlike last month.

We expected snowfall this month. But if the temperature keeps on rising like this, probably we won’t be getting snowfall this winter.

The 10% remittance incentive came up once more. Except for that, there was nothing much happened.

The short term measure which is de-valuing our currency. I haven’t liked this idea of our government.

This month, there was total trades of Nu.40.82M. 52% of them was OTC trades and rest mCaMs trades.

Benchmark Index

Bhutan Stock Index (BSI) started the month at 1403.13 points and ended at 1456.03 points.

This means BSI gained 52.90 points this month. It shows overall bullish sentiment of Bhutan Stock Market.

This February month, 2 counters ended down in red, 11 in green and rest 5 tickers remained unchanged.

If we look at significant gainers / losers, BTCL gained the most and BPCL lost the most. SVL still trades below face value.

I bought 250 of TBL at Nu.45, 100 of DWAL at Nu.120, and 150 of BIL at Nu.74. I used sale proceeds of DPL.

In my counters reduction exercise, I have sold more than 50% of holdings in DPL. Its net profit was Nu.4,267.65

How CD’s Stock Portfolio Performed?

4 counters in my portfolio are below their purchase prices. But 7 of them are still positive. The biggest gainer is BIL.

This month’s unrealized profit is a new record. It beat the records of past months.

The overall unrealized profit is 19.68% and the unrealized loss is 0.73% in the current value of my stock portfolio.

The Month’s Lessons & Future Plans?

In my investment rebalancing exercise, I sold more than 50% of holdings in DPL – some at Nu.16 and some at Nu.15.50.

If its price improves little further, I will also sell the remaining holdings as well and bring down counters to 10 in my portfolio of stock.

However, with the onset of bullish sentiment with rising buy orders I must be cautious of my actions.

Who would like to sell too early missing the peak and running away with a light baggage?
