Bhutan Stock Market Report [Jan ’25]
This shall be the first monthly Bhutan Stock Report from Australia. It has been more than a month since I started my life in Australia.
It went so fast to the extent I was feeling somewhat rushed. It is already 3rd week since I started my academic session.
It’s very hard to get a rental house here. I inspected more than 15 houses and went through that many agents to get a 2-bedroom house.
We will settle down – I can feel it. Have purchased a second-hand Toyota Corolla car and am still in practice to gain road confidence.
I have started searching for a part-time job as I can work only 24 hours a week. I am thinking of doing deliveries to improve my driving skills.
Because of all these drastic shifts in my living patterns, I couldn’t strictly follow the Bhutan stock market.

How CD’s Stock Portfolio Performed?
5 counters in my portfolio are below their purchase prices. But 2 of them are still positive. The biggest gainer is BIL.
This month, unrealized profit decreased by more than 3%. Moreover, the loss was the record highest in the last 12 months.
The Month’s Lessons & Future Plans?
The main advantage of living outside Bhutan is the access to investing in other countries’ stock markets.
Once I create a stock trading account, I can invest in China, the USA, New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong.
But I am interested in the US market. The number of well-diversified ETFs alone makes the US market irresistible.
I created trading accounts with Webull and Tiger Brokers. My experiences may help you learn one or two, which I will share with you.
How was your portfolio this month? Did it meet your expectations? Your plans for next month?
