Bhutan Stock Market Report [Oct ’24]
When HM visited Australia this October, we got a real sense of how many Bhutanese are actually in Australia.
No wonder DGPCL, and GMC are issuing their bonds for Bhutanese living abroad. The crowd size in Australia alone looks enticing!
It is crazy how many exams and interviews I did after I left previous job in April. This craziness still continues.
It’s not like I want to be a CEO or not even a manager, but a mid-level role that gives decent income and use my 10-year experiences.
But forget mid-level openings, the competition is stiff even for entry-level positions. It’s hard to believe, personally.
Good that I have a saving to use while searching for a job. I feel sorry for Bhutanese who have neither of them.
Wish me luck. Let us see the performances of Bhutan Stock Market, and also my stock portfolio for this October.

How CD’s Stock Portfolio Performed?
5 counters in my portfolio are below their purchase prices. But 3 of them are still positive. The biggest gainer is RICBL.
This month, unrealized profit has decreased by less than 1%. However, a loss is almost equal to that of last month.
The Month’s Lessons & Future Plans?
I wrote before that it is not good for retail investors to load a ticker during its massive public auction.
In Bhutan Stock Market, through my personal observation it’s profitable to load later as price goes below discovered price.
True to this, PCAL has been decreasing since its auction. It is yet to trade below the discovered price as of now.
Out of fear of shrinking profit, people are selling off further pushing down the price. I’ll load if it trades below Nu.38!
I am exploring an idea of doing a master. I haven’t decided whether to do in Bhutan or outside. I will update with all my decision parameters.
How was your portfolio this month? Did it meet your expectations? Your plans for next month?
